The Rude Boy George show scheduled Sunday at the Sellersville Theater has been canceled. At the World Café Live, at 3025 Walnut St., Philadelphia, on Thursday night, the group will perform another live show, featuring such Philly classics as “Open My Eyes,” “Back Stabbers,” “Change Reaction,” “A Woman’s Got the Power,” “Shelter Me,” “Fall in Philadelphia,” “Man on the Moon,” “Escalator of Life,” “I Saw the Light” and “I Ain’t Searchin’.” The group is an ever-changing lineup (whoever is available at the time to record or perform) of local veterans like Uosikkinen. He gathered musicians from local bands - current and former - and worked on recording the old songs we all grew up with, by acts like The A’s, Todd Rundgren, the Dovells, Tommy Conwell, the Dead Milkmen, American Dream, Robert Hazard and Cinderella. Veteran Hooters drummer David Uosikkinen had a second music goal: Preserve Philadelphia’s local music favorites. The new album focuses on faith, relationships and a little bit of partying on the songs “Lions,” “Unforgettable,” “Saved Me,” “Three Chords & the Truth” and “This Cowboy’s Hat.” Now Rice is back with the 2017 CD “Lambs & Lions” and a tour which brings him to the Fillmore, at 1000 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, Saturday night.
